Known sometimes as the "NCTM Research Handbook" or simply "The Handbook," the *Second Handbook of Research on Mathematics Teaching and Learning* is a project of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. This is an update of NCTM's first research handbook, the 1992 *Handbook of Research on Mathematics Teaching and Learning*.
