Rheta Rubenstein is professor emerita of mathematics education at the University of Michigan-Dearborn.

== Academic Background ==
Rubenstein received a bachelor's degree with honors in mathematics from the University of Michigan in 1968. While teaching in Detroit Public Schools, she earned a master's in secondary education from Wayne State University in 1973 and a Ph.D. in mathematics education from Wayne State in 1982.
