Now sometimes referred to as simply the "1992 Handbook," the Handbook of Research on Mathematics Teaching and Learning was the first research handbook published by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. NCTM followed this handbook with the Second Handbook of Research on Mathematics Teaching and Learning in 2007.
